Logo Research

Logo Research

Birdy uses a simple sans serif font with the only other detail being the dots within the 'O' and the 'E' . This add a bit more interest to the otherwise plain text. We plan to do a similar sort of thing with our logo, however we would also add in perhaps a motif to match the artist.

Ed Sheerans logo, seen on most of his albums has a kind of typewriter style with a smudged rough edge. This kind of style matches his simplistic, indie style. He doesn't try to over complicate his logo much like his music. To add to this, he uses his trademark paw print, although he has never given an official reason why, it gives a impression of his personality, as it is always seen on his guitar.

This logo is very similar to what we want to achieve. In particular the font is nicely styled to fit the the genre of music. the serif font reflects the artists intricate songs and music and also gives it a glamorous feel.

The XX - This logo very simply states the bands name with the bold white X against the black background. the colour scheme is important here as we get a feel for the genre of music, meaningful, covering quite deep subject. We can take away from this the way they simply present themselves with basic key colours - black and white.
